Your first session

Before, during and after

The first session lasts 50 minutes. You do not need to prepare anything.

  1. 01

Step 1: You write or call

Yvette replies by the method and at the time you chose, and you can ask about her calendar and your treatment days.

  2. 02

Step 2: You receive a fee in writing

Before the first session you receive your fee, and a Good Faith Estimate if you pay without insurance.

  3. 03

Step 3: You fill in a short form

Intake forms are on a private portal, not in the messages. They take a few minutes, and you can leave questions blank.

  4. 04

    Step 4: You meet

In the office or by video. You talk about what you want from therapy, and Yvette explains privacy, its limits and what to do in a crisis. You do not have to tell the whole story.

  5. 05

    Step 5: You decide

Afterward you choose whether to continue, and whether you want Yvette to speak with your medical team. There is no pressure either way.

The room

A quiet room with a window

If you prefer video, the session is the same: you in a private place in Tennessee, and Yvette in her office.

The office is on Madison Avenue in Midtown, with a step-free entrance and parking beside the building. Tell Yvette if you need anything arranged: a chair with arms, a blanket, breaks, or lying down.
