Individual therapy
One to one, about what illness and treatment have asked of you
For adults who live with a long illness, or who are still carrying a diagnosis, a procedure or a hospital stay. Sessions are with a licensed clinical social worker.
In the first sessions we talk about what happened and what your days are like now. There is no script and no deadline. We go as slowly as your body and your treatment calendar allow, and you can stop or change direction at any point.

Six things to know
What a session is like
Fifty minutes, in the office or by video. You talk, Yvette listens and asks, and together you agree what to work on that day.
How it works
Talk therapy first, and EMDR or somatic work if you want them. Each is explained before you try it.
What it is not
It is not medical care. Yvette does not diagnose medical conditions, change treatment or prescribe. Your doctors stay in charge of that.
How long and how often
Yvette sets the pace with you. Many people start weekly and space sessions out later. There is no set number of sessions.
How it is paid
By the session, self-pay, with a monthly receipt you can send to a plan that reimburses. Your fee is given in writing before you start.
How fees workWhen to see a doctor first
If you have new or worsening symptoms, call your doctor. For a crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
Three questions about this work
Do I have to talk about everything that happened?
No. You choose what to share and when. We can start with how you are coping now and go back only if you want to.
Can we meet by video on a hard day?
Yes. Moving a session to video the same day is part of how Vestige works, for days when you cannot travel.
Will you tell my doctors what we talk about?
Only if you sign a release, and only what it lists. The page on working beside your medical team explains how that goes.
Write to Yvette to begin
The fees page explains how paying works, with a written estimate before you start.
